There are not any universally accepted theories of how the universe came to its present state, and there isn’t a lot of solid proof for any creation theory. There is however, the possibility that God could have caused the big bang and/or set the Earth up and just ”let things run their course”, allowing evolution to happen (he could have caused evolution too). Some theistic evolutionists do believe that God caused the big bang on Day 1 of Biblical Creation. If God allowed evolution to happen, it would explain adaptations in animals and wouldn’t require animals and plants to evolve to be able to walk on land- they would already be there. God permitting evolution would also skip the debatable “ocean vents” stage of evolution. It takes just as much faith to believe in the big bang and evolution as it does to believe in God and Biblical Creation, if not more. There is some proof to these theories. The Bible says that Satan tempted Eve into eating the fruit from the tree of life in the form of a talking snake and that God took away the snakes’ legs as punishment. Some modern snakes have hip bones which show that they once had legs similar to lizards.
