Why do people choose to believe in one theory rather than the other?
Many people don’t care or have an opinion about how the universe was created because they don’t use it in their daily lives, and it won’t affect how they live their life. Christians are most likely going to believe in Biblical Creation if they believe in God. Because Biblical Creation is largely based on faith and nowadays people tend to have to “see to believe”; it is hard for non-Christians to believe in something they can’t see. The Big Bang and Evolution is the only reasonable alternative to God creating the universe, so it is the main theory of creation for non-Christians. Almost all adults learned about the big bang in school, so if they didn’t grow up in a Christian home or learn anything different, they are bound to believe in the big bang and evolution because it is the only thing that they know. Also, weak or new Christians may believe in the Big Bang and Evolution because they have more scientific proof and don’t rely so much on faith.
Deuteronomy 29:29
The secret things belong to the Lord our God, but the things revealed to us and to our children forever, that we may follow all of the words of this law.
